With the Festival of Lights in full swing, there are plenty of panorama to peruse. There are dinosaur displays, lots of Frosty fanfare, signs of Seasons Greetings and lights galore. However, there is also something else to see on this Saturday: live and local music. Add some color to your nightly canvas and see some shows that shine.
Unwrap an ultimate event with Rock the Ruritan 10. A multi-band music show, there’s something for everyone to see. The beginning band is Who, Ray? Hooray! and the concert just keeps coming. Gage Vota of Down They Fall goes on second, followed by The Ansaris – Ryann Bartoletti, Carter Dean, and Taylor Parissi. Derek Mrdjenovich will be representing The Big Time, playing a solo set.
The show will be in full swing as America: The Robot plugs in to play. Taylor Parissi-Guitar/Vocals, Sean Patrick Mcginnis-Drums and “style,” Ian Parissi-Bass/back up vocals, and Daniel Aleksiejczyk – Alto Sax, “shaved head, puts up with other band members,” are RtR family favorites. Finally, On the Run will wrap up the remuneration. John Ross Green – Vocals/Guitar, Ryan Weaver – Guitar/Vocals, Paul Johnson – Guitar, Tyler Miller – Bass, and Brian Fisher – Drums have a new single out called “In Flames.”
The Muddle will be making merry music at Down on Main Street. Cathy Mowder – Rhythm Guitar / Vocals, Kevin Schlick – Lead Guitar / Vocals, London Stadler – Bass / Vocals , Kevin Brosch – Percussion, Craig Bozick – Percussion, and Matt Uhlly – Drums will be spreading holiday happiness with their acoustic rock covers. At Goodfellas Bar and Grille you can party and partake in some SIN – Cyndi Lancaster – Lead Vocals, James Lancaster – Bass & Backup Vocals, Jake Marker – Drums & Percussion, Nate Kepner – Lead Guitar & Backup Vocals. Another gift we’re being given is Stack of Monkeys Yule Tide at River City. Come “deck the halls with bananas and Jager” with Stack of Monkeys – Michael Hawk, Mark Krupinski, and Mike Ennis.
